Media Alert: MentorCloud presenting at WBC 2014.
MentorCloud presenting at NAWBO’s Women’s Business Conference 2014 – The Power of You during Sept 8,9 in Indianapolis.
Tuesday, September 3, 2014
San Francisco, Calif. – MentorCloud, the global leader and premier online mentoring platform, today announced that Dr. Ravi Gundlapalli, CEO and Ms. Vidya Kaipa, Marketing and Design Analyst, will present at NAWBO’s Women’s Business Conference – The Power of You during Sept 8-9, at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana. In a recent survey of professional women on LinkedIn, a surprising number of women (nearly 1 in 5) say they have never had a mentor. Yet the benefits of mentoring to both the mentor and mentee are vast and proven: increased personal and professional development, communication skills, peer connections, growth opportunities and more. MentorCloud will talk about how its pioneering cloud-based mentoring platform is being adopted by organizations worldwide, the benefits for mentors and mentees, and the opportunities available for women business owners worldwide to accelerate their business with right mentorship. This is the first time NAWBO has added an entire panel at their annual WBC conference to cover this very important topic.
WHO: Dr. Ravishankar Gundlapalli, Founder & CEO & Ms. Vidya Kaipa, Analyst, Marketing & Design
WHAT: Dr. Gundlapalli and Vidya will be speaking on the ‘Power of Mentoring’ as part of a panel co-sponsored by Chase Bank. Other panelists include Maria M. Quintana, Executive Vice President at J.P.Morgan Chase; Dee Elliott, President of Dee Elliott Consulting and DEC Mentoring with Mary Johnson, Editor of Bizwomen.com moderating the panel.
Last decade can be called the ‘Era of Social Connections’ with the rapid growth of social media platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn. MentorCloud calls the next decade as the ‘Era of Meaningful Conversations,’ among communities of users that trust one another due to shared affinities – (e.g. alumni of same college or country), or aspirations (e.g. entrepreneurship). True wisdom is most effectively transferred from people to people and Mentoring is the only proven strategy for organizations to accelerate wisdom-sharing among their members. With more organizations becoming global with multi-generational and multi-cultural workforce, Mentoring is becoming a Board room topic to attract, retain and grow talent in organizations.
WHEN: Monday, Sept. 8, at 15:00 (Session Title – Power of Mentoring).
WHERE: NAWBO WBC 2014, JW Marriott, White River Conference Room, Indianapolis, IN.
Founded in 1975, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is the unified voice of America’s more than 10 million women-owned businesses representing the fastest growing segment of the economy. NAWBO is the only dues-based organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries.
