GDPR And Privacy Shield Notice

TO OUR EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS:
At MentorCloud, Inc. (“MentorCloud”) the privacy and security of our users’ data is our highest priority. On May 25, 2018, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) went into effect. The GDPR unifies several existing privacy and security laws under one comprehensive law which will apply across the European Union. The GDPR aims to strengthen and expand data privacy protections for citizens of the EU and provide them with greater control over how their Personal Data, as defined in the GDPR, is collected, accessed, shared, used, and transported out of the European Union for processing. Note, however, that GDPR applies to individuals, who reside in or are visiting the European Union, and their Personal Data, including any HR data.
Given that MentorCloud may engage with users in the European Union, we have been working hard to ensure that we are in compliance with these new regulations. We are committed to providing our users with the best and most secure experience possible and want to ensure they trust us to handle their data. But it is taking us much longer than anticipated to fully comply with GDPR.
Please read it carefully. It tells you in some detail what we need from you, how we use such information, how we store such information, and to whom we give such information to help us in providing our Services to you.
In the meantime, we agree to fully comply with the Standard Contractual Clauses, promulgated by the European Union, in connection with our transport of Personal Data from the European Union for processing in the United States and elsewhere in the world, a copy of which can be found at http://data.europa.eu/eli/dec/2001/497/oj. Notwithstanding, we currently keep your Personal Data in a very secure manner and restrict who has access to it. We need your Personal Data to be able to provide Services to you and to give you access to our Platform and you give us your Personal Data at the time you register for our Platform, and/or download our mobile app and/or use or buy our Products and Services. If you don’t want us to store, use or process your Personal Data, do not register for services or information our Platform or website or download our mobile app. Please note that we fully comply with the privacy laws in the United States, which may be different than the privacy laws in your country. If this is not sufficient for you, do not accept any invitation to join, from your organization or from us, and download our mobile app to access your registration and profile.
We will notify as soon as possible but no later than 72 hours if we determine that our systems have been hacked and your Personal Data disclosed as a result of such hacking or any other unauthorized breach of your systems and databases.
If at any time you want to cancel your registration, all you need to do is to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (605) 956-2199 and tell us you want us to cancel your registration and we will do so.
If you want to know what Personal Data that we have on you, again just access our Platform after you have created your profile voluntarily or email us at email@example.com or call us at (605) 956-2199 and ask us for such information and we will provide it to you.
If you want us to delete such information from our Platform and other databases, just ask us to do so and we will delete such information as soon as we no longer need such information, for example, to invoice you or your organization for our Services and Products. We will not keep such information beyond the time that we need it.
