Mentoring is about "Accelerating Success" for people you care about. As an active mentor for a handful of people in the USA and globally, I continue to be delighted watching my mentees learn and grow towards their goals and aspirations. Just in the last month alone, here are the successes my mentees achieved:- successfully completed Masters and starting his first job in a week- selected for undergraduate program in Astrophysics at a very prestigious US university- secured summer internship at a world-class technology university in India- grew his young startup to a monthly revenue of over $20kAll of them work hard and we have great debates evaluating options and discussing pros and cons. They follow up on my recommendations/suggestions and stay accountable. All of these are important mentee traits that inspire mentors to want to do more for their mentees.
